  • T.E. Simmons
    President of the RFCCD
    Reverend T. E. Simmons is a native of Aiken County, SC is the 19th child of the late Reverend J. J. Simmons and Effie Mae Toney Simmons. Reverend Simmons is married to Angela Carter Simmons and this union is blessed with three daughters and five grandchildren.

    He is a 1979 graduate of South Carolina State University and a 1990 graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Centerâe Morehouse School of Religion of Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, he has completed studies at the Billy Graham School of Evangelism in Wheaton, Illinois and the Institute of Church Administration and Management of Atlanta, Georgia. In May of 2006, he received an honorary Doctorate Degree from the N.J. Brockman School of Religion.

    In 1983, he was called into the Gospel Ministry and licensed in July 1983 by the Summer Grove Baptist Church of Aiken County and the Reedy River Baptist Church of Mauldin. Later in 1983, he was called to Pastor the Reedy Fork Baptist Church of Simpsonville, South Carolina where he continues to serve.

    Reverend Simmons is affiliated with the Reedy River Baptist Association and its auxiliaries, the Baptist E & M Convention of South Carolina, and the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and its auxiliaries. Presently he serves as Member of the Prisma Health System Minority Advisory Committee, Board Chairman of the Reedy Fork Center for Community Development, and Prisma Health Board of Directors.

    Business Manager
    With over 30 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Kimberly is a seasoned professional known for delivering accuracy, integrity, and strategic insight across diverse industries. Throughout her career, Kimberly has specialized in financial reporting, budgeting, process improvement and development, regulatory compliance, consistently helping organizations maintain fiscal health and meet their financial goals.

    A trusted advisor to both executive leadership and operational teams, Kimberly brings a deep understanding of GAAP, and financial systems. They have successfully led accounting departments, streamlined processes, and implemented controls that enhanced efficiency and reduced risk.

    Kimberly is committed to lifelong learning and mentoring the next generation of finance professionals. Whether working with small businesses or large corporations, Kimberly combines technical expertise with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ameco Hendrix
    Executive Director
    Ameco worked with the City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department as an Assistant Director and Center Director for 14 years. She has also been the Afterschool Director for Rocky Creek Christian Academy, the Director for Classy Kids Tween Center and the 21st Century Afterschool Education Director for Union County for the Urban League of the Upstate for 12 years.

    Ameco holds a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration from Morris College in Sumter, SC. She represented the USA in Afterschool Education in Edinburgh, Scotland for the Institute for Language Education.

    Ameco is the eldest Daughter of Algie and Annie Dial and mother of one daughter (La'Joy Hendrix). She loves to sing, write plays and cook.
  • Rachel Putman
    Human Resources Consultant
    Rachel has over 20 years of Human Resources / Organizational Development Experience, around 15 years of Non-Profit Experience as an Executive Leader and Board Member, almost 12 years of experience in Equity and Inclusion and five years of experience in Community Development.

    She holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science. She also has certifications as a SHRM - Senior Certified Professional, HRCI - Senior Professional Human Resources and a Cornell University - Systems Thinking and Organizational Design.

    She is a proud boy mom and grandmother of baby Genesis. She enjoys traveling and making copycat recipes.
  • Janice Alford
    Behavioral Health Specialist
    Janice is a dedicated Certified Grief Counselor with over 9 years of experience at Agape Care Group, where she organizes the monthly "With You" call, a support initiative created during COVID-19 for employees and their families. With a 20-year history as a personal assistant to Pastor Kippie C. Brown at Maxwell Baptist Church in Florence, SC, she also contributes as a musician and grief counselor in the church's Grief Ministry.

    In 2017, she founded iCare Counseling, LLC, partnering with churches to offer grief counseling and education. Janice's professional background includes roles in Mass Communication as a News Reporter and 14 years as an educator in Music and Drama, where she enhanced literacy in rural school districts.

    She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and an Associate in Fine Arts from North Greenville University, where she broke barriers as the first African American woman in her drama team. Janice earned dual Master’s degrees from the Interdenominational Theological Center, graduating Cum Laude, and has received various accolades, including the Langston Hughes Music Award.

    Currently, she serves as a grief counselor consultant and facilitator for non-profits in New York and South Carolina, an Alumni Board Member for North Greenville University, and a member of the gospel recording group, Larry McCullough and Chosen Generation. Janice is guided by her motto: "If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living shall not be in vain." She cherishes her family, including her parents, brother, sister, and two nephews.

  • Katrina Norris
    Activity Coordinator
    Katrina earned an Associate of Arts from Spartanburg Methodist College. She holds a certificate as an SEI - Activity Coordinator. In her free time, she loves to read and listen to podcasts.
  • Lacey Austin
    Teacher
    Lacey holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from South Carolina State University. In relation to students, she has been a K5 Assistant, ABA therapist, and Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.

    She is a wife, mom to Parker, and loves spending time with family and shopping. Her favorite sports teams are the S.C. State Bulldogs, Boston Celtics, and Dallas Cowboys!
  • Britni Key
    Teacher
    Britni holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Southern Wesleyan University as well as a Masters in Classroom Leadership from Southern Wesleyan University. Previously, she has worked at Cleveland Academy of Leadership teaching 3rd grade, Welcome Elementary teaching 2nd and 3rd grade, Quest Leadership Academy teaching 5th grade, and Legacy Early College teaching 6th grade Science, 7th grade Science and Reading Intervention for K-5th graders.

    Britni is a boy mom to Hudson, dog mom to Blu and a cat mom to Solomon. She loves reading and music!
  • Carla McDaniel
    Teacher
    Carla holds a Bachelor of Science in History, a Master of Arts in Education, a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction Eds. In addition, she has served in Administration and Leadership for Middle Level Language Arts & Social Studies, a Gifted & Talented instructor and as an Instructional Specialist. She is a mother, author and loves to read and cook.
  • Dahron Mize
    Teacher
    Dahron has related experience as a substitute teacher for Greenville County Schools and as a Student Leader Intern for Voice Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Baylor University and is currently pursuing Master of Divinity from Clamp School of Divinity at Anderson University.

    Dahron has lived in Vallejo, California, Atlanta, Georgia and Waco, Texas.
  • Angela Simmons
    Assistant Teacher / Bus Driver
    Angela is a retired Greenville County Schools teacher after 32 years of service. She holds a Paraeducator Certification from the State of South Carolina and has also taught Special Education.

    She is married to Thomas E. Simmons, the mother of three daughters, a grandmother of four and has two bonus grands. She loves spending time with family!
  • Jasmine Norris
    Assistant Teacher
    Jasmine is obtaining a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina – Upstate. In 2022, she was an All-State, All-County, and All-Region basketball player. Last summer, in 2024, Jasmine worked with the RFCCD Summer Enrichment Camp.
  • Loretta Garrett
    Computer Teacher
    Loretta holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Winthrop University. She completed the PACE Program to become certified in Middle School Math. After 27 years as Mathematician for Department of Defense, she spent time as a teacher with nine years as Substitute Teacher for Greenville County, five years as 7th grade Math Teacher and three years as Middle School Math Interventionist. Loretta has been a teacher for the Summer Enrichment Initiative and the After School Initiative.

    In her free time, she enjoys reading various genres of books, working on jigsaw puzzles of 1000 pieces or more, and solving Sudoku puzzles.

    Myles is studying Design at Winthrop University. He has been recognized for his accomplishments in the visual art space.

    Assistant
    Kristopher is currently a student at Claflin University where he is an Accounting Major and runs track and field. Formerly, he was a Rocky Creek Christian Academy Caregiver.
  • Rosena Wright
    Culinary Specialist
    Rosena has been sharing her cooking skills with the Reedy Fork Baptist Church and CCD for over 12 years. As one of ten children, she loves to share a Southern meal. She enjoys baking cakes and serving in her ministry.
  • Darnell Flemmings
    Bus Driver
    Darnell is retired and uses his time to serve others. He has two years of driving experience. He is married to Joann, and they have four children.
